Suzanne Pilaar-Birch

 

Suzanne Pilaar Birch is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, USA. She recently completed her PhD at the University of Cambridge, where she was a Gates Scholar. Her research broadly centres on human-animal-environmental relationships, and she is particularly interested in changes in human dietary and mobility patterns during the transition from hunting and gathering lifestyles to food production throughout Anatolia and the Balkans.
