Next generation genomics protocols for studies of migration using aDNA

GATC Biotech, a privately owned company, is Europe's leading service provider of DNA sequencing and bioinformatics for industry and academic research. Serving over 10,000 customers in 40 countries, GATC is continuously innovating new solutions for DNA sequencing and sequence evaluation for both individual DNA samples and whole genome projects.

Dr. Yadhu Kumar is a Head of Bioinformatics Development at GATC.
He has a master degree in biological sciences and a doctoral degree in Bioinformatics. After completion of his doctoral degree at Technical University of Munich, Munich, Germany, he worked as a post-doctoral scholar in the area of phylogenetics and metagenomics.
In 2008, he joined GATC Biotech AG, Konstanz, Germany as a Bioinformatics Project Manager and was managing sequencing projects involving  denovo, transcriptome, epigenetics and metagenomes of simple to complex organisms such as plants and humans.
In 2010, he was promoted to lead the Bioinformatics development team at GATC Biotech. He is mainly responsible for the developing strategies for different next generation sequencing projects for both academic and commercial customers. Over the years he has gained substantial expertise in bioinformatics software tools and databases by exploring both public and commercial bioinformatics resources. Designing, implementing and supporting new pipelines to analyze next generation sequencing data is his expertise. He routinely applies bioinformatics tools and pipelines for data mining, retrieval, analysis and annotation of high throughput data to solve a wide range of biological questions efficiently. Further, he is actively engaged in large publicly funded projects through collaboration with several academic partners.
